Emmaline Kitson
Emmaline is an International Tutor and presents baby
swimming all over the world. She has been teaching babies
for over 12 years and with Birthlight since 2001. She
completed the training to be a tutor in 2003 and since
then Emmaline has developed the very successful program
of Aqualight Babies.
She has two sons, Bradley who was swimming at 15 months
and Lucas who could swim 5m at the age if 2 ½
years.
“I am so passionate about baby swimming because,
I had post–natal depression after my first son
was born and had lost all my self confidence. I began
Birthlight classes in Cambridge, Amanda Walker and Francoise
Freedman instructed me. I had real one-to-one time with
Bradley. Looking at him, swimming with him on my chest,
I felt myself fill with love for my son, this was my
turning point, pulling me out of depression. When I
help a parent and baby bond the way Bradley and I did,
I get the feeling all over again and I know how much
more enriched that persons life is”.

Zara Peasland
Zara started swimming with her 1st child when he was
5 weeks old - her and her husband love the water; swimming,
scuba diving - and wanted to introduce Nade to the pool
as soon as possible.
As new parents, the time spent in the pool with Nade
was a wonderful opportunity to focus their attention
on him totally in a relaxed and calm atmosphere that
allowed them to bond as a family - they looked forward
to their lesson each week and they have very special
memories of that time with their new baby.
